ServSafe® Food Handler Class

Pricing varies depending on the number of students

The ServSafe Food Handler class is a 2 hour class designed for food preparers, food servers and other frontline staff. It covers five key areas:

  • Basic Food Safety
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Cross-contamination & Allergens
  • Time & Temperature
  • Cleaning & Sanitation

The Food Handler class instruction is followed by a 40 question test.  Participants will receive a ServSafe Food Handler Certificate if they achieve a score of 75% or higher.  This certificate is valid for 3 years.


Your place of business is the perfect location for a ServSafe Food Handler class.  Your instructor will come to you and teach the class to a group of your staff members during a 2 hour inservice.


The ServSafe Food Handler Certificate is not the same as the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate and will not meet the SC DHEC requirement for every retail food establishment to have at least one food protection manager on staff.
